Oleic acid is a fatty acid that occurs naturally in various animal and vegetable fats and oils. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a mild odor.  Oleic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid that is the most widely distributed and abundant fatty acid in nature.  Oleic acids are used in varied industries including lubricants, detergents, surfactants, coatings and sealants.  Oleic acid can also be found in many cosmetic and personal care products.
